About the role
TL;DR
Deploy and integrate August's AI-native legal services platform at law firms.
- •Join August in building the autopilot for legal services.
- •We are targeting mid-market law firms, automating their legal work and allowing them to provide our tools directly to their clients.
- •Key Responsibilities Own deployments end-to-end: architect, build, and ship August into production at law firms.
- •Build the integrations that touch everything: ship the adapters, webhooks, and APIs that wire August into iManage, NetDocs, SharePoint, Outlook, and Word add-ins.
- •Turn one-off work into platform: extract the patterns, harden them into configurable modules, SDKs, and internal tooling.
- •Debug live, in production, under pressure: trace, root-cause, and ship the fix the same day.
- •Requirements 3+ years of production software engineering experience (full-stack or platform).
- •Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript (React/Next.js) and at least one backend language (Python preferred).
- •Engineering instincts that favor shipping: you default to the smallest working solution, add observability from day one, and treat each deployment as a learning loop.
- •Thrives in high-ownership, fast-moving environments: you're energized by ambiguity, can context-switch between deep technical problems and high-level architecture discussions, and take pride in building things that actually work in the wild.
