About the role
TL;DR
Staff+ engineer to own and solve complex technical problems for global money platform.
- •Plasma is building the primary account for global money, serving individuals and businesses operating across borders.
- •We are seeking a staff+ engineer, backend-leaning but comfortable full-stack, to join one of Plasma's engineering teams and take ownership of that team's hardest technical problems.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the hardest technical problems end to end within your team.
- •Set technical direction for your team's core systems, including architecture and data models.
- •Design for reliability first in systems that move or store real money.
- •Go deep on the backend while staying full-stack, owning the TypeScript service and data model.
- •Mentor other engineers and drive technical clarity on complex system parts.
- •Requirements Staff-level, hands-on engineer with a track record of owning production systems end to end.
- •Backend-leaning but full-stack with deep expertise in TypeScript (Node.js).
- •Strong instincts around reliability and correctness, thinking in systems.
- •Comfortable taking systems from zero to one and scaling them.
- •Strong judgment on tradeoffs and ability to communicate clearly.
