About the role
TL;DR
Owns cloud infrastructure and platform security for a GovTech company.
- •Esper is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to be the technical owner of their cloud infrastructure and platform security.
- •This senior individual contributor role focuses on ensuring the security and compliance posture of Esper's platform, which serves government agencies.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the design, operation, and reliability of Esper's cloud infrastructure.
- •Set infrastructure technical direction and roadmap.
- •Develop software libraries, services, and tooling to enable developers and ensure security best practices.
- •Lead incident response and reliability efforts.
- •Implement and monitor technical controls for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
- •Requirements 8+ years of software engineering experience. 5+ years in a dedicated Platform, Infrastructure, Cloud, or Security Engineering role.
- •Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable frameworks.
- •Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
- •Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
