About the role
TL;DR
Senior Revenue Accountant to support ASC 606 compliance and process improvements.
- •This role will be responsible for supporting the revenue accounting function through technical accounting, contract review, month-end close, and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- •The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in ASC 606 and is excited to partner across the organization to build scalable processes supporting a rapidly growing SaaS business.
- •Key Responsibilities Review customer contracts, order forms, amendments, renewals, and pricing structures to ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606.
- •Evaluate non-standard contract terms and partner with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- •Support monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- •Identify opportunities to improve revenue processes, strengthen internal controls, and leverage automation to increase scalability.
- •Prepare audit support and assist with external audit requests.
- •Requirements 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
- •Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition.
- •Experience reviewing customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
- •Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce (SFDC) is preferred.
- •CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
