About the role
TL;DR
Lead the Manage Squad to build and evolve Grip's event registration platform.
- •We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow the Manage Squad, responsible for Grip's event registration platform, handling complex configurations, integrations, payments, data pipelines, on-site technologies, and backend infrastructure.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of approximately four engineers Partner with Product Manager and Designer to review initiatives and assess feasibility Own the squad's delivery cadence, sprint planning, and prioritization Drive architectural consistency, code quality, and engineering best practices Collaborate with VP of Engineering Operations on AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline improvements Requirements Strong leadership and people management skills Experience with AI-first development and modern software engineering practices Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure Excellent communication and collaboration skills
