About the role
TL;DR
Lead Zocdoc's marketing measurement strategy, building new methods and driving investment decisions.
- •As Director, Marketing Data Science, you'll own the measurement strategy that determines how Zocdoc invests in reaching patients and providers.
- •Your work will directly shape how we allocate marketing resources across B2C patient acquisition, B2B provider marketing, lifecycle, and brand, ensuring every dollar drives measurable impact.
- •Key Responsibilities Own Zocdoc's marketing measurement strategy: attribution, incrementality, and ROI measurement across all channels and business lines.
- •Hands-on development of complex analytical work: media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, incrementality and lift testing, LTV modeling, and brand measurement.
- •Partner with CMO and marketing leaders to translate strategy into analytical frameworks and surface insights that change investment decisions.
- •Manage and develop a team of Staff+ data scientists and junior managers.
- •Requirements 8+ years in data science or quantitative marketing, with at least 3 years focused on marketing measurement (MMM, MTA, incrementality, causal inference).
- •Track record of personally building and executing complex measurement models in production.
- •Deep expertise in media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, incrementality and lift testing, and causal inference at scale.
- •Experience managing or technically leading a small team of data scientists.
