Senior Backend Engineer to build and lead the identity and access management platform.
- •Weave is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to architect the foundational security and identity substrate for all Weave products.
- •You will lead the transition to a modern, globally distributed Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform.
- •Key Responsibilities Own core services for authenticating entities within the ecosystem.
- •Define authorization strategy for multi-tenant hierarchies.
- •Develop internal SDKs and gRPC contracts for downstream engineers.
- •Manage infrastructure for federated identity, automated provisioning, and M2M communication.
- •Improve system observability and ensure systemic integrity and compliance.
- •Requirements 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with significant time in Go.
- •Deep understanding of AuthN/AuthZ primitives like OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWT.
- •Proven ability in managing complex data migrations, distributed architecture, and building gRPC-based microservices.
- •Exceptional written clarity for technical design documents.
