About the role
TL;DR
Ensure safety and quality of Waymo Driver through simulation and operational execution.
- •Waymo is seeking a Software Quality Ops Scenarios Specialist to ensure the safety, reliability, and quality of the Waymo Driver.
- •This role bridges simulation software capabilities and real-world operational execution.
- •Key Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering teams on design, test, and deployment of simulation tools.
- •Drive technical processes for "rapid-response" simulation-based scenario testing for issue evaluation.
- •Define and document new policies, guidelines, and SOPs for integrating tools and insights into workflows.
- •Design and implement quality control processes for human and AI-generated outputs.
- •Act as the Subject Matter Expert, providing technical leadership and advising on testing coverage and tool improvements.
- •Requirements BS/BA degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in AV Software Quality, Simulation or Technical Operations.
- •Experience with ML testing and validation methods.
- •Ability to quickly master proprietary software tools and root-cause high complexity, technical issues.
- •Strong understanding of driving rules, behavioral safety, and complex traffic environments.
