- •Waabi is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Software/Firmware Engineer to develop and implement the software and firmware powering their HIL benches.
- •This role is crucial for testing and validating autonomous vehicle technology.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop software and firmware for HIL benches, including test runners, simulation/stimulation interfaces, and fault-injection tooling.
- •Build simulation interfaces for synthetic vehicle dynamics and stimulation tooling for message injection.
- •Implement automated test frameworks and scripts for requirement-based testing on real hardware.
- •Integrate HIL test execution into CI pipelines for automated validation.
- •Develop instrumentation and data acquisition software for hardware timestamping and measurements.
- •Requirements Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. 4+ years of experience in HIL, embedded test automation, or real-time test systems.
- •Strong programming skills in Python and working proficiency in C/C++/Rust.
- •Hands-on experience with automotive communication interfaces (CAN, automotive Ethernet).
- •Experience building test automation frameworks and integrating hardware tests into CI pipelines.
