About the role
TL;DR
Operate and maintain site utility systems for optimal performance and safety.
- •Verkor is seeking a Utilities/Operations Technician to join their team in Bourbourg.
- •This role ensures the availability and efficiency of the site's utility installations in a high-tech industrial environment.
- •Key Responsibilities Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) from the control room.
- •Perform field inspections and maintenance on equipment, including chemical and material handling.
- •Diagnose and resolve utility system issues, performing routine maintenance and repairs.
- •Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including LOTO procedures.
- •Optimize utility system performance to reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
- •Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.
- •Knowledge of utility systems (compressed air, nitrogen, heating, cooling, ventilation, steam, chemicals).
- •Familiarity with BMS/DCS systems is appreciated.
- •Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
