About the role
TL;DR
Own AI model development end-to-end, impacting systems serving over a billion users.
- •Stream is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to own model development on their AI team.
- •You will build, fine-tune, evaluate, and ship AI models end-to-end, impacting systems serving over a billion users.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the development, fine-tuning, and evaluation of in-house AI models from dataset design through to production deployment.
- •Run supervised fine-tuning and post-training experiments, establishing benchmarks for model evaluation.
- •Build and maintain data pipelines for model training, ensuring high data quality and reproducibility.
- •Take models to production on Stream's serving stack, tuning for latency, cost, and reliability.
- •Requirements 5+ years of production-level Python engineering experience.
- •Hands-on machine learning experience, specifically with supervised fine-tuning and post-training of models.
- •Familiarity with modern fine-tuning and serving toolchains (e.g., Unsloth, Fireworks, Baseten).
- •Cloud experience with GCP or AWS, including infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
