About the role
TL;DR
Build Starbridge's legal, contracts, and compliance function from the ground up.
- •Starbridge is seeking its first in-house lawyer to build the legal, contracts, and public sector compliance function from scratch.
- •This role reports directly to the CEO and is crucial for enabling Starbridge to operate at speed and with safety as it grows as a public sector software distributor.
- •Key Responsibilities Design the legal architecture for a four-party channel (OEM, Starbridge, vehicle holder/distributor, government buyer).
- •Own and draft core legal documents including distribution agreements, reseller agreements, order forms, and SaaS agreements.
- •Build the government contracts operating system for federal and SLED transactions.
- •Establish a fast, trusted deal desk with templates, clause libraries, and approval thresholds.
- •Protect Starbridge's economics across the transaction chain.
- •Requirements Active membership in a U.S. state bar in good standing. 7-12 years of highly relevant legal experience.
- •Proven experience with multi-party public sector technology transactions.
- •Deep understanding of SLED procurement and government contracts.
- •Comfort negotiating commercial SaaS, channel, data, security, and IP terms.
