About the role
TL;DR
Build and manage global privacy and regulatory compliance for a sleep fitness company.
- •Eight Sleep is seeking a Principal Counsel, Regulatory & Privacy to join their legal team.
- •This role will focus on building and running the company's global privacy program and ensuring compliance with various regulatory frameworks.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and manage the global privacy program (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, etc.).
- •Ensure compliance with FTC and consumer protection regulations, including advertising and subscription practices.
- •Handle healthcare-regulatory work related to new product lines.
- •Take on commercial contracts, litigation support, and product counseling as needed.
- •Requirements JD and active bar membership in at least one US state. 8-12 years of relevant experience, including meaningful in-house time.
- •Solid working knowledge of US privacy (CCPA/CPRA), GDPR, and FTC/consumer protection.
- •Versatile generalist comfortable picking up unfamiliar matters.
- •Self-starter who works hard and makes decisions independently.
