About the role
TL;DR
Design, build, and optimize core systems for AI model serving infrastructure.
- •Sequen AI is building frontier ranking models for search and recommendations, specializing in designing end-user behavior for large consumer enterprises.
- •We are a small, highly technical team focused on turning recent advances in AI into reliable, useful systems.
- •Key Responsibilities Write high-performance, memory-safe, and concurrent production code in Rust.
- •Design and maintain robust, high-throughput backend APIs and SDKs.
- •Debug complex distributed system deadlocks and production bottlenecks.
- •Partner directly with Applied Scientists to translate AI model breakthroughs into scalable realities.
- •Requirements 6 to 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Programming, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- •Strong professional experience writing and deploying production-grade Rust code.
- •Deep understanding of Rust-specific primitives and asynchronous runtimes like Tokio.
- •Experience building robust backend systems and event-driven architectures.
- •Comfort with ambiguity and a strong sense of technical ownership.
