- •This role is for a Tech Lead to build an AI Companion for an online mahjong game.
- •The AI will play mahjong at a strong level and explain its moves, integrating with a social gaming company's web3 platform.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and build the mahjong-playing algorithm using RL, imitation learning, or search-based methods.
- •Own the technical architecture, including the game model, LLM reasoning layer, and API contract.
- •Ensure the AI meets a 2-second response budget per move.
- •Define data requirements and build training/calibration pipelines.
- •Lead the AI Engineer and collaborate with the client's Product Owner and CTO.
- •Requirements Hands-on experience with game AI or sequential decision-making (RL, imitation learning, MCTS).
- •Expert Python for ML systems and strong software engineering skills.
- •Experience with LLM application engineering and low-latency inference.
- •AWS deployment experience for ML workloads.
- •Technical leadership and clear communication skills.
