About the role
TL;DR
Own the AI foundation for an AI-native FP&A platform.
- •Aleph is an AI-native platform for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- •We are seeking a Staff+ Software Engineer to own the AI foundation that powers our features, including model selection, routing, and evaluation infrastructure.
- •This role is critical in defining how our AI models perform and improve, ensuring accuracy and reliability for finance teams.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the AI foundation: model selection, routing, proxy layer, context management, and tool design.
- •Own eval infrastructure to define and encode excellent output quality.
- •Ship agentic features end-to-end, including prompt engineering and caching.
- •Build observability into agent behavior for profiling and bottleneck identification.
- •Track changes in agentic systems and integrate best practices.
- •Requirements Shipped production LLM systems with experience in evals, context management, and multi-model routing.
- •Ability to build proof of concepts, make quick decisions, and ship v0s driven by evals.
- •Strong judgment about abstractions and pragmatic approach to incremental shipping.
- •Experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and user-facing products.
- •Focus on shipping production systems rather than pure research.
