  • Natera is seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to join their assay development team.
  • This role involves developing laboratory tests that impact patients and leading junior scientists in a regulated environment.
  • Key Responsibilities Lead technical projects and represent the assay development group in cross-functional teams.
  • Drive the planning, design, execution, and reporting of feasibility, development, verification, and validation studies.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, automation engineers, biostatisticians, and data scientists to develop new molecular assays.
  • Communicate and document experimental data and scientific findings.
  • May manage Scientists or Research Associates.
  • Requirements PhD with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or MS with minimum 8 years.
  • Knowledge of high throughput NGS workflows or other genetic testing applications.
  • Experience in developing and validating molecular assays for CLIA lab testing.
  • Experience with automation of molecular workflows or assay transfer.
  • Experience managing projects and direct reports.
