- •Natera is seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to join their assay development team.
- •This role involves developing laboratory tests that impact patients and leading junior scientists in a regulated environment.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead technical projects and represent the assay development group in cross-functional teams.
- •Drive the planning, design, execution, and reporting of feasibility, development, verification, and validation studies.
- •Collaborate with research scientists, automation engineers, biostatisticians, and data scientists to develop new molecular assays.
- •Communicate and document experimental data and scientific findings.
- •May manage Scientists or Research Associates.
- •Requirements PhD with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or MS with minimum 8 years.
- •Knowledge of high throughput NGS workflows or other genetic testing applications.
- •Experience in developing and validating molecular assays for CLIA lab testing.
- •Experience with automation of molecular workflows or assay transfer.
- •Experience managing projects and direct reports.
