- •Mercury is seeking a Payment Operations Lead to build and scale the operational desks that support its payment rails.
- •This role involves leading a team responsible for ensuring smooth money movement across various payment types and improving operational efficiency through process design, tooling, and automation.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a Payment Operations team, setting clear priorities and operating standards.
- •Build and scale payment operations desks for international wires, domestic wires, RTP, ACH, and checks.
- •Drive operational efficiency through process improvement, tooling, automation, and AI.
- •Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams to improve workflows.
- •Define and track key metrics for payment operations performance and quality.
- •Requirements 3-5+ years of experience in payments, banking operations, or a related operational function.
- •Deep working knowledge of payment rails (international wires, domestic wires, RTP, ACH, checks).
- •Experience leading, coaching, or managing an operations team.
- •Excitement for making operations more scalable through process improvement and automation.
- •Understanding of operating in a regulated environment.
