About the role
TL;DR
Design and build test infrastructure to ensure robot reliability.
- •As a Reliability Design Engineer, you will build the test infrastructure to predict and prevent failures in the lab before our robots reach customers.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, fabricate, and iterate electromechanical test rigs and fixtures Build accelerated life, fatigue, vibration and shock, and temperature and humidity tests Wire up and integrate actuators, motor drivers, sensors, and data acquisition Write scripts to automate test execution and data logging Partner with reliability engineers to translate physics of failure into representative test methods Requirements Technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related hardware discipline 2+ years of hardware design engineering experience Proficiency in CAD Working proficiency with a scripting language such as Python Hands-on comfort across electromechanical systems
