- •IonQ is seeking a Photonic Layout Engineer to join their QPU Design team.
- •This role involves the layout of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) crucial for their Quantum Processor Units (QPUs), directly contributing to the advancement of quantum computer hardware.
- •Key Responsibilities Layout of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for Quantum Processor Units (QPUs).
- •Arranging and routing photonic components on chip, coordinating with metal track and CMOS routing.
- •Producing reticle-size photonic layout files using Python scripts for commercial foundry use.
- •Layout verification through DRC and LVS.
- •Documenting the layout process and final tape-out mask files.
- •Requirements Proficiency in Photonic Integrated Circuit layouts.
- •Familiarity with photonic devices (waveguides, beamsplitters, grating couplers).
- •At least 2 years of experience with Python for photonic mask layout (Luceda IPKISS, GDSFactory, Klayout).
- •Degree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- •Strong collaboration and communication skills.
