About the role
TL;DR
Lead the Compliance strategy for Malt's product engineering team.
- •Lead the Compliance strategy for our product engineering team, ensuring a secure and trustworthy platform for freelancers and clients.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a high-performing team of 8-15 engineers.
- •Co-build product and technical strategy with the Product Director and Design Lead.
- •Raise the bar on delivery and engineering excellence.
- •Own our compliance ecosystem and be the primary tech point of contact for external partners.
- •Contribute to the Engineering Manager Guild to scale best practices across the organization.
- •Requirements Hands-on Manager with strong backend foundation in Java/Kotlin.
- •Systems Thinker with experience in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- •Compliance Domain experience with deep background in scaling compliance or fintech systems.
- •Strategic Risk Manager comfortable at the intersection of tech and regulation.
- •Impactful Communicator fluent in English (French is a bonus).
- •Technical watch with an eye on emerging tech, especially around AI.
