About the role
TL;DR
Build and evolve deception capabilities for a cybersecurity platform.
- •Horizon3 is seeking a Staff Security Researcher / Developer to join their Detection & Deception (DnD) Team.
- •This role will focus on building and evolving deception capabilities within the NodeZero platform, specifically enhancing features like Tripwires and Rapid Response.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, prototype, and ship new security capabilities within NodeZero, focusing on honeytoken and honeypot creation.
- •Develop detection logic for Tripwires and adjacent products like Rapid Response.
- •Collaborate with product managers and designers to identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into technical roadmaps.
- •Contribute production code at a Lead/Staff level in a modern backend language.
- •Requirements Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience with Go or Rust.
- •Deep experience with network security topics such as reconnaissance and lateral movement.
- •Proficiency with Active Directory, Windows authentication, and Windows internals.
- •Strong understanding of network protocols like SMB and WMI.
- •Minimum of 4 years of experience in building offensive or defensive security solutions.
