About the role
TL;DR
Manage onboard technology systems for FlixTrain, ensuring connectivity and passenger experience.
- •As Manager Onboard Technology, you will be responsible for the technology that connects passengers, enables navigation, and shapes their onboard experience, from Wi-Fi and network infrastructure to onboard units and mobile devices for train personnel.
- •Key Responsibilities You are responsible for the entire FlixTrain onboard technology ecosystem
- •Wi-Fi, networks, onboard units, and mobile devices.
- •You continuously monitor the performance of our onboard technology, identify problems early, and drive improvements.
- •You lead cross-functional projects related to connectivity, network performance, and the integration of mobile devices into the vehicle fleet.
- •You define technical specifications and network architectures that are ambitious yet achievable.
- •You develop test scenarios and functional validations, ensuring our solutions work in real-world operation.
- •Requirements You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- •You have more than two years of practical experience in network architecture, Wi-Fi systems, or Mobile Device Management.
- •You have strong problem-solving skills and proven experience in troubleshooting complex network systems under time pressure.
- •You take responsibility: You independently bring topics to completion and confidently lead cross-functional initiatives.
- •You communicate clearly and convincingly with technical experts as well as non-technical stakeholders.
