Engineering Manager to lead distributed contractor network and support clients.
- •We're looking for a full-time Engineering Manager to join Empirical and help lead our distributed contractor network, support our clients as a technical partner, and champion AI-driven innovation across the organization.
- •Key Responsibilities Help optimize team delivery and client engagement across multiple projects Serve as the technical point of contact for clients post-hiring, joining regular check-ins to track engineering progress, identify new needs, and align on technical expectations Maintain regular 1:1s or check-ins with contractors assigned to client projects to ensure satisfaction, alignment, and address any challenges Coach and mentor engineers on adopting Gen AI tools into their day-to-day workflows Collaborate with our hiring team and clients to define hiring needs and ideal profiles Requirements 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering Experience leading teams as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager, including mentoring engineers and supporting their professional growth Strong expertise in JavaScript, Node, Python, and related frameworks Proven background in scalable software architecture and cloud infrastructure Experience managing client relationships and leading technical discovery sessions
