- •AeroVect is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to execute core safety lifecycle tasks across their software and hardware platforms, working under the guidance of the Head of Safety.
- •This role involves performing system safety analysis, deriving safety requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into the autonomous system architecture and vehicle operations.
- •Key Responsibilities Perform system safety analysis including HARA, FMEA, FTA, and STPA on autonomous systems.
- •Derive and trace functional and technical safety requirements for supervised and unsupervised autonomy.
- •Collaborate with systems, software, robotics, hardware, and test teams to integrate and verify safety requirements.
- •Assist in building safety case artifacts and verification evidence for airport commercial deployment.
- •Requirements 5+ years of hands-on safety engineering experience in autonomous vehicles, automotive (ISO 26262), aerospace (DO-178C/DO-254), or industrial safety (IEC 61508). 5+ years in hardware safety engineering, EE reliability, or failure rate modeling.
- •Proven mastery of FIT rate modeling, component failure rate calculation methods, and FMEDA workflows.
- •ISO 26262-5 Mastery: Deep knowledge of hardware architectural metrics and hardware diagnostic strategies.
