- •CuspAI is a frontier AI company focused on accelerating the discovery of breakthrough materials.
- •We are seeking a Materials Knowledge Architect to design our scientific data representations, schemas, and ingestion pipelines to turn heterogeneous external data into actionable data assets.
- •Key Responsibilities Design data models for chemical, structural, and materials property information, ensuring interoperability.
- •Establish data quality, validation, lineage, and provenance frameworks for ML-ready datasets.
- •Lead the ingestion of data from diverse partners, building robust pipelines to normalize and harmonize data.
- •Partner with external data providers to define standards, schema mappings, and resolve quality issues.
- •Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate modeling needs into ingestion requirements.
- •Requirements Proven experience designing data models and schemas for complex scientific domains.
- •Demonstrable experience ingesting, integrating, and harmonizing data from multiple external sources.
- •PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Computational Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
- •Expertise in data representation, ontologies, and data modeling.
- •Experience with materials discovery data types (experimental and computed) and sources.
- •Working knowledge of Python and SQL with experience building data pipelines.
- •Firsthand experience with experimental data production and pragmatic modeling strategies.
- •Strong communication and collaboration skills.
