- •Expel is seeking a Senior Data Scientist who is passionate about leveraging both traditional machine learning and generative AI to solve complex problems.
- •You will be instrumental in developing metrics, building threat-detection models, and creating AI-powered tools to enhance analyst efficiency.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and deploy ML and GenAI systems across their full lifecycle.
- •Clearly communicate technical concepts and work to stakeholders.
- •Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure AI/ML capabilities are deployable and maintainable.
- •Partner with subject matter experts to explore GenAI applications alongside classical approaches.
- •Mentor other data scientists and colleagues.
- •Requirements 4+ years of professional data science experience building and shipping models in production.
- •Solid grounding in traditional ML (classification, regression, anomaly detection, clustering, time series) using frameworks like scikit-learn.
- •Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and LLM application architectures.
- •Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered agentic systems.
- •Strong Python and SQL skills.
