TL;DR
Manage global payroll tax compliance, audits, and advisory for Databricks.
- •The Payroll Tax Manager will be the internal subject matter expert on all payroll tax matters, advising various teams on legislative changes, validating positions, developing global payroll tax policy, and helping the business understand and report its payroll tax obligations.
- •This role will lead payroll tax audits and inquiries from revenue authorities.
- •Key Responsibilities Advise on global payroll tax calculations and document technical positions.
- •Lead global payroll tax audits and respond to information requests.
- •Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounting, Equity Administration, Legal, and Benefits on cross-functional initiatives.
- •Assist in M&A integration to ensure payroll tax positions are supported and optimized.
- •Partner with the Finance Data Team to re-imagine the payroll tax reporting process.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
- •Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- •Knowledge of international payroll tax regulations and equity compensation tax matters.
- •Experience with payroll systems and tax filing platforms (SAP, Netsuite, Workday preferred).
