About the role
TL;DR
Scale and maintain backend systems for a digital commodities platform.
- •CommodityAI is building the operating system for the global commodities industry.
- •Our platform manages billions of dollars of commercial contracts and serves as a digital operator that interprets trade data, reconciles physical movements, and flags operational risks in real time.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, scale, and maintain backend APIs and data pipelines.
- •Architect agentic systems, structured extraction pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
- •Work across our stack (React, TypeScript, Python, Go, Node) to deliver end-to-end features.
- •Collaborate with customers and the founding team to translate logistical problems into reliable software.
- •Requirements 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- •Hands-on experience with production AI and LLM-based systems.
- •Strong technical judgment and end-to-end ownership.
- •Location: Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
