About the role
TL;DR
Estimator for commercial painting and coatings projects.
- •We are seeking a Full-Time Commercial Painting Estimator to support a Los Angeles-based commercial painting contractor.
- •You will prepare detailed takeoffs, review drawings, and develop competitive estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects.
- •Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift and Excel.
- •Review architectural drawings, specifications, and painting scopes.
- •Develop competitive cost estimates based on production rates, labor, and materials.
- •Communicate with clients to clarify project scope and bid requirements.
- •Support a high-volume monthly bidding schedule while maintaining accuracy.
- •Requirements 2-5+ years of estimating experience in commercial painting, coatings, or wall coverings.
- •Experience estimating projects for U.S.-based commercial painting contractors.
- •Proficiency with PlanSwift and Microsoft Excel.
- •Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
- •Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
