TL;DR
Lead Quality and Food Safety for Blue Bottle's South Korea Roastery, building a QMS from scratch.
- •Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to establish and lead Quality and Food Safety for their new South Korea Roastery.
- •This role involves building a comprehensive quality management system from the ground up, ensuring compliance with Korean regulations and Blue Bottle's global standards.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) for coffee roasting and food manufacturing operations.
- •Lead end-to-end quality assurance across production processes and finished products.
- •Establish and manage supplier quality programs, including audits and performance evaluations.
- •Investigate and resolve quality and food safety issues through root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
- •Build and develop a local Quality team and foster a strong quality-first culture.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field. 8+ years of experience in quality management within the food and beverage industry, with at least 3 years in a factory Quality Manager role.
- •In-depth knowledge of Korean food manufacturing regulations and compliance requirements.
- •Expertise in Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
- •Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC).
