TL;DR
Manage legal workflows, contracts, and business operations for a defense tech company.
- •Beacon AI is seeking a Head of Legal to manage day-to-day legal workflows, including contracts, outside counsel coordination, and basic corporate and employment administration.
- •This role also involves practical business operations to reduce founder workload.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage contract intake, drafting, review, negotiation, and filing for various agreements.
- •Support government and defense contracting reviews with outside counsel.
- •Maintain IP and information hygiene records and coordinate with outside counsel on filings.
- •Oversee people-related agreements and sensitive issue coordination.
- •Manage recurring operational workflows and build simple systems for efficiency.
- •Requirements Strong judgment, excellent organization, and ability to drive work to completion.
- •Experience supporting legal work in-house or at a firm (contracts, corporate records, deal coordination).
- •Comfort reading agreements, spotting issues, and escalating appropriately.
- •Hands-on experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
- •Operational instinct to build systems and processes.
