About the role
TL;DR
Manage clinical AI ICs, own AI roadmap, and perform hands-on AI work for clinical documentation.
- •Ambience is building AI systems to help clinicians deliver better care.
- •This role leads a team of clinical AI Individual Contributors who build, evaluate, and refine AI for clinical documentation.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage and develop ~5 clinical AI ICs across two pods.
- •Own the clinical AI roadmap, quality, and delivery for your pods.
- •Carry your own projects: prompting, evaluation design, error analysis, and clinical content work.
- •Provide technical and clinical guidance to your team.
- •Represent the clinical perspective with product, engineering, and customers.
- •Requirements Physician (MD or DO) who completed residency and has practiced clinically. 3-5+ years at a tech company after (or alongside) clinical practice.
- •Managed formal direct reports at a tech company.
- •Technically fluent with some coding ability and comfortable with AI concepts.
- •Hands-on LLM product experience (prompting, evaluations, error analysis) is a strong plus.
- •Willing to work from our San Francisco office 3x/week.
