- •Aescape is seeking a Senior Director of People to lead its People function in a hybrid model, reporting directly to the CEO.
- •This strategic role involves overseeing all people operations, ensuring compliance, managing talent acquisition, and fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop and evolve the overall People strategy, translating company goals into people priorities.
- •Lead day-to-day HR functions including payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and performance management.
- •Manage US visa processes, immigration support, and adherence to federal/state labor laws, including international compliance.
- •Champion company culture, promote collaboration, and drive initiatives to enhance team morale.
- •Own recruiting strategy, headcount planning, and employer branding to attract top talent.
- •Requirements 10+ years in HR leadership with proven experience building and scaling People functions in fast-paced startups.
- •Proficiency with modern HRIS and ATS platforms (Rippling, Ashby) and Google Workspace, Slack, Notion.
- •In-depth understanding of US labor laws, visa/immigration processes, and international HR practices.
- •Hybrid model commitment with primary onsite presence at our NYC office (3-4 days/week).
- •Proactive, open-minded, adaptable leader with enthusiasm for technology and interest in health/wellness.
