- •Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within its Issuing organization.
- •This role involves developing and scaling fast, secure, and efficient payment solutions through digital and physical card issuance, influencing vision and strategy for a complex and evolving product.
- •Key Responsibilities Drive the technical roadmap for establishing and expanding Adyen's issued card product suite.
- •Build and shape a new engineering team, fostering a best-in-class engineering culture.
- •Act as a technical leader and domain expert for the banking product, driving technical design and solutions.
- •Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, managing performance and professional development.
- •Collaborate with Product Managers to manage project timelines, address technical debt, and enforce engineering best practices.
- •Requirements 2+ years of people management experience with a proven ability to build and coach high-performance engineering teams.
- •Experience in FinTech with exposure to Issuing and/or Banking, or managing technical delivery of a critical global product at scale.
- •High technical bar and in-depth knowledge of building and scaling API-based financial services, comfortable discussing technical decisions with senior engineers.
- •Strong execution skills, including effective communication, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving.
- •Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple teams and external partners, with strong influencing skills.
