- •Fieldguide is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee and scale its accounting operations.
- •This role involves hands-on management of the monthly close and core accounting areas, with a focus on building efficient, automated, and scalable processes using modern systems and AI.
- •Key Responsibilities Own significant areas of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- •Manage accounting for key areas such as revenue, accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, operating expenses, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- •Review contracts and business activities to identify and resolve accounting implications.
- •Use AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve the speed and quality of the close.
- •Support the annual audit, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
- •Requirements 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including experience at a high-growth startup or SaaS company.
- •Strong knowledge of U.S.
- •GAAP and experience managing a monthly close.
- •Experience with revenue recognition and other accounting issues common to subscription software businesses.
- •Comfort operating in an environment where processes may still need to be created or improved.
- •Experience using AI tools in day-to-day work and curiosity about how they can improve accounting operations.
