About the role
TL;DR
Senior Accounting Manager overseeing financial reporting, operations, controls, and process improvement.
- •PayJoy is a mission-first credit provider dedicated to helping under-served customers in emerging markets achieve financial stability.
- •This role will oversee financial statement accuracy, accounting operations, internal controls, and process improvement.
- •Key Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP/Local GAAP
- •Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and prepare financial reporting packages.
- •Develop, implement, and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- •Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
- •Liaise effectively with corporate finance/accounting teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- •Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required. 10+ years of experience in accounting, managing close processes, preparing financial statements, and external audits, with 3+ years in a Controller or Accounting Manager role.
- •Experience working within a multinational corporation, in Finance, Fintech industry.
- •Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP IFRS, and/or Local GAAP.
- •Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
