About the role
TL;DR
Manage and lead the R&D Engineering Technician team in solar installation robot development.
- •Lead the R&D Engineering Technician team in building, testing, and deploying solar installation robots.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage a team of ~8 technicians, including work assignments and performance feedback.
- •Ensure builds are complete, on schedule, and meet quality standards.
- •Upskill the team through hands-on coaching and onboarding.
- •Support engineering teams in assembly, testing, and documentation.
- •Maintain workshop organization and drive continuous improvement.
- •Enforce a strong culture of safety.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
- •Strong mechanical, electrical, equipment, and safety intuition.
- •Comfortable interpreting schematics/CAD drawings and assembling systems.
- •Positive attitude and in-person work preference.
- •Available to work 5 days/week in San Leandro, CA.
