About the role
TL;DR
Design and maintain infrastructure systems for GoHenry's products.
- •GoHenry is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and own infrastructure systems that power GoHenry's products.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and own infrastructure systems end-to-end.
- •Write high-quality, well-tested infrastructure code using Terraform, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines.
- •Take ownership of complex production incidents—diagnosing, resolving, and driving blameless post-incident reviews.
- •Contribute to architectural discussions with well-reasoned proposals backed by practical experience.
- •Stay current with the cloud ecosystem and bring concrete, considered recommendations for tooling and approaches to the team.
- •Requirements Deep, hands-on Google Cloud experience (including GKE and Cloud SQL), with a strong grasp of GCP's networking and security model.
- •Strong hands-on Kubernetes skills and a practical understanding of container orchestration in a production environment.
- •Proficiency in writing and standardising infrastructure code with Terraform, Helm, and modern CI/CD tooling.
- •Proven track record as a strong individual contributor who takes end-to-end ownership of complex technical work.
- •Good working knowledge of observability tooling (such as Datadog) to configure metrics, logging, and alerting systems that genuinely inform on-call response.
- •A passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, writing documentation, and helping fellow engineers grow.
