About the role
TL;DR
Posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
- •You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
- •Key Responsibilities Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials from Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) to the appropriate patient accounts within the billing system.
- •Identify, locate, and retrieve remittance information, including EOBs, from various payer-specific online portals to ensure all payments are posted in a timely manner.
- •Ensure all transactions are balanced daily.
- •Requirements Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or a similar RCM role.
- •Proven experience navigating and extracting remittance data from major payer portals.
- •Demonstrated experience with credit balance resolution and refund processing.
