- •Anchorage Digital is seeking a Regulatory Licensing Attorney to be the firm's primary expert on CFTC and NFA firm-level licensing.
- •This role will guide the business through the registration lifecycle and provide legal counsel on derivatives, margin lending, and privacy for new business lines.
- •Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary legal expert on the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and NFA Rules.
- •Lead the strategy for obtaining and maintaining regulatory licenses.
- •Draft, review, and negotiate complex margin lending agreements and specialized regulatory agreements.
- •Partner with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Engineering teams to embed compliance requirements.
- •Lead the legal response to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- •Requirements J.D. degree with a focus on financial services, commodities, or corporate law. 4+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 3+ years focused on CFTC and NFA regulatory matters.
- •Deep knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and the Dodd-Frank Act (Title VII).
- •Technical proficiency in derivatives, including OTC products and margin lending.
- •Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, with experience handling ISDA/CSA documentation.
