TL;DR
Provide legal counsel for AngelList's private markets wealth platform, Meridian.
- •Meridian is AngelList’s wealth platform for private markets, building wealth products for self-directed investors.
- •This role offers an opportunity to shape the next generation of private market investing products.
- •Key Responsibilities Own legal product counseling for Meridian across all stages of product lifecycle.
- •Advise on broker-dealer obligations, including FINRA rules and Regulation Best Interest.
- •Analyze product and transaction structures under various securities acts and regulations.
- •Design scalable legal review and approval processes.
- •Requirements JD and active bar membership with 6-10 years of relevant legal experience.
- •Direct experience advising or working within a registered broker-dealer, ideally involving private placements.
- •Deep fluency in securities laws, FINRA rules, and broker-dealer regulatory perimeter.
- •Proven ability to own complex initiatives and convert legal analysis into product requirements.
