TL;DR
Accountant responsible for month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvements.
- •Waymo is seeking an Accountant to join their Finance and Accounting group.
- •This hybrid role will report to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for executing key areas of the month-end and quarter-end close, performing financial analytics, and collaborating cross-functionally.
- •Key Responsibilities Execute key areas of the month-end and quarter-end close, preparing financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnotes/disclosures.
- •Perform monthly and quarterly flux analysis and financial analytics, developing detailed reporting packages for leadership.
- •Design and stabilize operational processes based on business needs.
- •Identify control gaps and implement operational improvements, automations and support system implementations across key accounting processes.
- •Conduct technical accounting research and draft documentation for review on complex accounting transactions.
- •Requirements Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- •Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 4+ years of experience at a Big 4 Firm.
