- •Wing is seeking a Senior Motor Architect to lead the design, development, and scaling of next-generation electric propulsion systems for their drone delivery aircraft.
- •This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency, power density, and reliability of Wing's fleet.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of high-performance electric motors.
- •Define system-level requirements for integration with custom electronic speed controllers.
- •Evaluate materials and designs to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- •Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams on scalable production processes and QA tests.
- •Drive testing and validation of motor performance.
- •Requirements 8+ years of hands-on experience in electric motor design, development, and testing (BLDC, PMSM).
- •Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Electromagnetics, or equivalent practical experience.
- •Applied experience with motor topologies, magnetic circuit design, and integration with ESCs.
- •Proficiency with FEA and thermal simulation tools (Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, JMAG) and scripting/automation tools (MATLAB, Python).
- •Deep knowledge of motor manufacturing and assembly processes.
