About the role
TL;DR
Robotics Controls Engineer to own testing, validation, and observability of the controls stack.
- •Humanoid is building the world's most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots.
- •We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our Control Team in Boston to own the testing and validation infrastructure, observability, failure analysis, and documentation for our controls stack.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and own hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and integration test workflows.
- •Define and implement repeatability and accuracy metrics for controller and motion changes.
- •Instrument the controls stack to improve visibility into runtime behaviour.
- •Write and maintain engineering documentation for the controls stack.
- •Contribute to first-time bring-up of new hardware for Boston components.
- •Requirements Substantial hands-on robotics experience on real hardware.
- •Strong control theory foundation.
- •Shipped software across the stack: modern C++ and Python.
- •Built test automation, HIL or integration-test infrastructure.
- •Strong debugging across software/firmware/hardware boundaries.
