About the role
TL;DR
Senior Backend/Infra Engineer to build and operate AI-driven customer experience systems.
- •Webflow is building the world's leading Agentic Marketing Experience Platform.
- •This role focuses on building systems that identify site issues for customers and then implementing agentic workflows to fix them, including recommendations, Forms, and an AI workflow platform.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, build, and operate distributed backend systems for recommendations and AI workflow execution.
- •Own and harden infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, focusing on reliability and scalability.
- •Strengthen system resilience to failure through eventing, streaming, and recovery mechanisms.
- •Reduce single points of failure and share operational ownership.
- •Design clean service and API boundaries, and optimize MongoDB data models.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
- •Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and asynchronous processing.
- •Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, and experience with MongoDB.
- •Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, observability).
- •Value testing, documentation, and reliability.
