About the role
TL;DR
Financial Accountant to build finance function from first principles.
- •At Volta, you will help build the finance function from first principles, contributing to the design of processes, controls, and reporting in a business deploying capital at global scale.
- •Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting while supporting the build-out of a scalable, best-in-class accounting environment.
- •Key Responsibilities Support the execution of the monthly financial close.
- •Prepare and post various accounting entries (accrual, prepayment, payroll, capex, revenue, FX).
- •Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for review (cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, equity).
- •Support transactional processing, intercompany accounting, and cross charges.
- •Assist in building and documenting financial controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks.
- •Requirements CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
- •Audit background. 2-5 years of post-qualification experience.
- •Strong technical accounting knowledge, including U.S.
- •GAAP (IFRS exposure is a plus).
- •Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
