Senior Embedded Linux Engineer, C++
About the role
TL;DR
Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft operations using C++ and Linux.
- •Varda is building commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing and reentry capsules.
- •This role is part of the Flight Software team, responsible for determining and building reliable software for spacecraft operations.
- •The team manages all phases of development, from requirements to flight support, ensuring spacecraft operate reliably in orbit.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations.
- •Write bare metal, RTOS, or Linux based software in C++.
- •Own software development lifecycle: design, testing, and integration.
- •Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform design trades for open-ended problems.
- •Ensure system quality and performance through software test, verification, and validation (V&V).
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent technical experience in safety critical software. 5+ years of experience in spacecraft or similar safety critical software development.
- •Experience with C++ development and strong understanding of language concepts.
