About the role
TL;DR
Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft using C++ in an embedded environment.
- •Varda is accelerating the development of commercial space infrastructure, focusing on in-orbit pharmaceutical processing and reliable reentry capsules.
- •The Flight Software team is responsible for determining how spacecraft operate in orbit and building reliable software for all phases of development, from requirements to flight support.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules.
- •Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software in C++ for embedded processors.
- •Own all aspects of software development, including design, testing, and integration.
- •Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- •Ensure system quality and performance through software test, verification, and validation.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience. 3+ years of experience in spacecraft or similar safety-critical software development.
- •Experience with C++ development and a strong understanding of its concepts.
