TL;DR
Build and scale the security platform for a defense technology company.
- •Vannevar is building the next generation of mission software for national security, defense, and intelligence.
- •The Security Platform team develops the authentication, authorization, and identity infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable access to resources.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and scale Vannevar’s centralized authentication and authorization platform.
- •Own the internal self-service platform for user, group, and permission management.
- •Build tooling and visualizations to help users understand and validate access permissions.
- •Shape the long-term roadmap for the Security Platform team.
- •Requirements 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of building scalable backend systems and delivering full-stack features.
- •Strong backend expertise in languages like Python or Java, with experience in relational databases and API design.
- •Comfortable owning end-to-end development, including frontend work with React/TypeScript/Node.js.
- •Experience with identity and authentication concepts and platforms like OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWTs, SSO, Keycloak, or OpenFGA.
- •Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
